DeCaro Headed Back To England; Bales Still Racking Fat Points In Australia

Turns out former UAA and Alaska Aces goaltender John DeCaro, who had a deal to play in Norway next season, changed his mind and decided to rejoin the Sheffield Steelers in the Great Britain-based Elite Ice Hockey League. You can click here to check out the story at prohockeynews.com

Meanwhile, former UAA forward Brian Bales of Anchorage continues to rack ridiculous points as an import in Australia. In just nine matches for the Newcastle North Stars, he's second in the league in goals and points with 12-14--26 totals. Um, scoring totals by top cats in that league are off the charts -- Bales in 60 games for Newcastle over three seasons has delivered 76-96--172 totals. And the dude's in Australia. Take it from The Blog, who visited Down Under three times when he was a younger lad: That place rocks.
