R&M staff members achieve professional licensure

R&M Consultants Inc. has announced that the following team members have received professional licensure or certification.

Brian Meyers, PLS passed the professional land surveying exam and was promoted to senior land surveyor. Brian has been with the firm since 2008. He has more than nine years of surveying and mapping experience, offering significant experience performing property, topographic, engineering design and route surveys for clients throughout Alaska. Brian holds a B.S. in Geomatics from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Ryan Redick, P.E., Kristen Keifer, P.E., and Sadat Aliu, P.E. each passed the Principles & Practice of Engineering exam, gaining their licenses in civil engineering. All three are project engineers in R&M’s engineering department.

Redick has been with the firm since December 2007. During his time at R&M, he has worked on a variety of projects with a focus in transportation engineering. Recent projects include the Aleknagik Wood River Bridge, Bristol Bay Borough School bus Routes and Battle Creek Diversion Feasibility Study. Ryan holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Keifer first joined R&M as an intern in 2007, and as a permanent employee in January 2008. She has provided design support on several site improvement, roadway, airport and utility projects. Recent projects include the Wasilla Knik-Goose Bay Road/Fern Street intersection improvements and Dalton Highway MP 11-18 reconstruction. Kristen holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho.

Aliu joined the R&M team in September 2007. He has worked on a variety of airport, site improvement and utility projects. Recent projects include the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Taxiway E and RON 2 reconstruction, Coffman Cove snow removal equipment building, and Hiland Road water intertie. Sadat holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Founded in Alaska in 1969, R&M offers civil, structural, geotechnical and waterfront engineering; surveying and mapping; GIS; geology; hydrology; environmental services; construction administration, materials testing and special inspection. R&M has offices in Anchorage and Fairbanks.
