Another Alaskan advanced in the Stanley Cup playoffs tonight -- Brandon Dubinsky of Anchorage set up Dan Girardi's second-period goal, the eventual game-winning strike, to help the New York Rangers to a 2-1 win over Ottawa in Game 7 of their opening-round series.
Dubinsky joins Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Matt Carle of Anchorage, whose team advanced by knocking off Pittsburgh in the first round.
The Rangers next face Washington in the Eastern Conference semis. The other Eastern semi series pits Philly against the winner of tonight's Game 7 between New Jersey and Florida -- New Jersey leads 1-0 after one period.
