I was lucky and got tickets for Eddie Izzard's Thursday night performance on April 19th which sold out in 1 minute online. Some fans were in line at 6PM for the 10:30 show. I got in line at 8PM and Eddie was well worth the wait. He came out and immediately launched into his stream of consciousness style of delivery. He interacted with the audience a good bit, including some fun exchanges about the alaskan flag, and a question about "isn't naming somewhere Anchorage a bit like calling it bus stop?" He transformed some bits from previous routines like "Stripped" and "Dress to Kill" to include new material, and made running over historical and intellectual territory at breakneck speed funny beyond belief. Thanks to Eddie for coming to Alaska, and bravo to UAA for bringing such a dynamic refreshing comedian to Alaska.
