Here's Anchorage Animal Care and Control's Adoption of the Week, courtesy of Brooke Taylor, AACCC public relations coordinator.

Here is Optimus, an adult, male, Rottweiler mix. Calm, gentle, attentive, this big guy handles great on his leash and really wants to please. He's super friendly and well-mannered, sits politely for his treats and takes them gently. He is known to often lean into whoever is petting him, letting them know how much he is enjoying it! He has also done well in Shelter Dog Play Group. Excellent companion for walks or just hanging out together. Did we mention handsome, too? He is having his neuter surgery donated this morning by the Alaska SPCA! When he returns to the adoption floor in a few days, he will be only $72 to adopt, which includes his MOA license, vaccinations, and microchip!
