Aces 4, Colorado 1

The Alaska Aces racked up five straight wins against the Colorado Eagles before tonight, but all five were on home ice at Sullivan Arena.

A change of venue made no difference.

The Aces beat the Eagles 4-1 at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado tonight.

Alaska maintained a four-point lead atop the league.

The Aces only permitted Colorado one power play. James Reid made 16 saves and the Aces received goals from Dan Kissel, Zach Harrison, Chad Anderson and Brian Swanson. No magic goal No. 369 all-time for Wes Goldie -- he's still tied with Rod Taylor for No. 1 all-time in the league at 368.

The teams meet again Friday and Saturday nights in Loveland. An Aces victory would win it the Mountain Division crown, which would guarantee it no worse than the No. 2 playoff seed in the Western Conference.
