CC Gets Another Alaska Recruit In Palmer's Jared Hanson

Not long after securing a commitment from forward Hunter Fejes of Anchorage, Colorado College has doubled up on Alaskans with a commitment of forward Jared Hanson of Palmer, according to Chris Heisenberg's excellent recruiting site.

Hanson, 19, plays for the Lincoln Stars of the U.S. Hockey League.

He's racked 22-21--43 totals in 44 games this season and is tied for 12th on the circuit in goals.

Hanson also carried a robust +27 rating, which ranks him seventh in the league.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder has made a big leap this season after generating 9-15--24 and a +12 rating in 53 games last season.

CC is really getting its Alaskan on -- the Tigers already have junior winger William Rapuzzi of Anchorage (3-12--15 in 35 games this season) and freshman wing Scott Wamsganz of Anchorage (0-1--1 in 15 games).

And another spot in the lineup has opened up at CC today with the St. Louis Blues' signing of sophomore forward Jaden Schwartz, the Tigers' leading scorer and a first-round draft pick.
