This year's AKC/Eukanuba National Championships are scheduled for Dec. 17-18 in Orlando, Fla., and Alaska once again will be well represented at the prestigious conformation, obedience and agility competitions.
Call Monica Alvarez an overachiever. Not only is she a veteran at Eukanuba, but this year she had the honor of having four dogs invited, including three that she bred. She's attending with two, Pablo and Evie. Here's more about them:

Top finishes/titles/honors: Pablo is my first wirehaired dachshund. He gave me a great start in the breed with his amazing talents both in the conformation ring and in the field. Pablo has the distinction of being Alaska's first Dual Champion hound after recently earning his field championship. He also became a Grand Champion this year and is a Canine Good Citizen. During his conformation career, he earned multiple group placements and wins at specialties. Evie is a home-bred Grand Champion that, at a young age, already has multiple group placements under her belt.

My dogs have wonderful tempermanents. They are sweet and fiesty and always put on a great show.
