Dog Blog

The Dog Blog is a community of ordinary dog lovers who have come together to discuss our extraordinary dogs. Each Monday, a new topic is introduced. If you've got an opinion, share it. If not, look for the current "anything goes" topic and introduce a discussion of your own. On Fridays, weigh in about your training questions and successes.

AACCC Adoption of the Week: Meet Tama

Here's Anchorage Animal Care and Control's Adoption of the Week, courtesy of Brooke Taylor of AACCC.

Here is Tama, a 3 year old, neutered male, pit bull mix. Tama is intelligent, focused, attentive and quite friendly. He’s curious and playful, likes exploring and following scents. He rides well in the car and walks fine on his leash. He’s friendly with kids of all ages, has lived with other animals, and did well in Shelter Dog Play Group with all the other dogs. A strong personality, and a real sweetheart! Special thanks to the Alaska SPCA for providing Tama’s neuter surgery free of charge and reducing his adoption fee by $80! Tama can now be adopted for $72, which includes his MOA license, vaccinations, and microchip. Call 343-8122 for more information.

Adoption update: Ripley is still available. Ziggy and Elizabeth have both been adopted! :)
