Along with burglary, one of the teenagers arrested is also charged with making homebrew and selling it for $50 a gallon to juveniles.

On 5/15/2011 at approximately 1557 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a residential burglary in progress at the Teacher Housing Unit, Selawik. Investigation revealed that Emil RAMOTH, age 18, Ronald MITCHELL, age 19, Jack WELLS (of the Village of Noorvik, AK), age 18, and a 16 year old juvenile, entered a Teacher's apartment belonging to the Northwest Arctic Borough School District.
While in the residence, the defendants caused approximately $500 in property damage. Further investigation also revealed that RAMOTH was manufacturing home brewed alcohol and selling it to juveniles for approximately $50 per gallon.
APSIN records revealed that the 16 year old juvenile had a warrant for his arrest, issued by the Kotzebue Court, for the original charge of MCA.
RAMOTH, MITCHELL, and WELLS, were arrested for Burglary I and Criminal Mischief III and remanded in
the Kotzebue Regional Jail. RAMOTH was also charged with Manufacture/Sale of Alcohol without Permit in a Local Option Dry Community.
The 16-year-old juvenile was transported to Nome, where he was remanded to the Nome Youth Facility for the charges of Burglary I, Criminal Mischief III, and the arrest warrant. The Village of Selawik is a Local Option Dry Community.
