The Special Olympics got a nice assist from the Alaska 10-K Classic on Wednesday.
Race organizers and representatives from presenting sponsors Arctic Slope Regional Corporation and Alaska Serigraphics presented a check for $9,000 to Special Olympics.
The money was raised during this summer's 25th running of the footrace, which has been a fundraiser for Special Olympics since 1994.
