From Bill White --
Former Arco Alaska chief Kevin Meyers is retiring from Conoco Phillips.
He was head of Arco when BP moved to buy the company in the late 1990s. Then he stayed on with Phillips when that company bought the Alaska assets of Arco from BP. He became a top Phillips exec then a top Conoco Phillips exec.
Here's a post from the latest Petroleum News about Meyers.
ConocoPhillips announced a number of management changes Oct. 6, including the retirement at the end of the year of Kevin O. Meyers, the company’s senior vice president, Exploration & Production-Americas.
Meyers is well known in Alaska, where he was a senior executive and then president of ARCO Alaska. He continued in that position when ARCO Alaska became Phillips Alaska (now ConocoPhillips Alaska) after Phillips Petroleum acquired ARCO’s Alaska assets.
