Take the Can Challenge in October

Anchorage is participating in a national campaign during the month of October. We will compete against at least 40 other U.S. cities to see who can recycle the most aluminum beverage cans (per capita) between October 1 and 29. So save your cans and recycle them either in your curbside cart or in one of the many recycling bins for aluminum cans around Anchorage and Eagle River.

Visit www.muni.org/sws for more information about the challenge and where you can recycle cans. At several locations, you can even get money back for your cans. Aluminum is one of the easiest materials to recycle so get out and recycle those cans and let's see how Anchorage stacks up against other U.S. cities!!
