Last week, Sean Magee, a Northern Dynasty Minerals executive, gave a Pebble project overview to the Denver Gold Forum, an annual meeting of precious-metal investors.

Nothing in the presentation is breaking news, but here are the main points that Magee shared:

* Eight alternatives are being looked at on how to develop Pebble.
* Several large mineral targets exist within the Pebble claims that are not part of the current mine proposal.
* Magee made an argument to investors that Northern Dynasty stock is undervalued. That's another way of saying, "Our stock is a good buy."
* Pebble is the 6th largest copper deposit of its kind, and the biggest gold deposit of its kind. It's a porphyry deposit, and there's no context for comparison for all copper and gold mines of every type. (If I'm not mistaken, Pebble used to be ranked higher alongside other copper porphyry deposits. Something to ask about on a nonbusy day.)
* The Pebble Partnership is still planning to publish a pre-feasibility study by early 2010, triggering the permitting studies that could lead to a final permit decision by 2013.
* The sockeye that spawn within the drainages affected by Pebble represent 0.5 percent of the Bristol Bay salmon escapement. That estimate doesn't include drainages affected by a road corridor, however.(Here's an alternate view on what the mine's salmon impacts could be.)
