As the Democrats fervently hope and hype the end of Sarah Palin’s career in politics, they might just want to actually pause and listen to her words. Sarah Palin most definitely has a future as a conservative leader, both in Alaska and on the national scene. She is by far the most popular Republican leader today in the United States. That may be the reason why so much time of the D’s is spent rumor mongering and throwing vitriol at her.

The fear of the Democrats is palpable. They rightly fear a competent, capable, pro-life, pro-family defender of conservative values who understands and conservatively interprets the Constitution. Of course, they should fear her. Sarah connected to the American people as no one has since Ronald Reagan. She has a huge base of public support.

Blogger and talk show host Shannyn Moore is the epitome of the attack. She called a press conference to label Governor Palin a coward, bully, and claim constitutional protection for spreading unfounded allegations of criminality. Moore knows the allegations are false. I read the Constitution differently. I do not think the Constitution protect liars who are only repeating the lie rather than starting it as Moore claims. Claiming constitutional protection for restating a rumor you know to be false demonstrates the lack of integrity, ethics, morals and judgment. Even the FBI, in a highly unusual step, announced that Moore’s rumor mill product is inaccurate. Moore’s knowing duplicity defines the mean-spirited character assassinations that have plagued Sarah Palin. Small wonder the Governor tired of the trivial pursuit.

But, you have to view such inanity with a touch of humor and reflection. What we have all just witnessed is the power of Sarah. From her home in Wasilla on Friday, she made a straightforward announcement of her resignation and reasons therefore. She simply will not play the game that the Democrats want her to play. She will not be a stationary target for their continued lies, innuendos and half-truths. She calls a lie, a lie. That is refreshing. As to her unstoppable power, name one other public figure on either side of the aisle that could instantly control three solid hours of Fox News then follow with a dominant presence in prime time for four additional days. No wonder they fear her.

Now, I get a tad disgusted with folks like Shannyn who want MY sympathy as she tearfully derides the Governor for telling the truth. Sarah Palin is no bully. Shannyn, you and your fellow Democrats have miscalculated once again. Sarah will not be bullied. And, she has a huge reservoir of strength and support throughout Alaska and throughout the United States. 73% of Republicans nationally approve of the job she has done not just as Governor of Alaska but also as the Republican nominee for Vie President. She lives the courage of her convictions and does not hide behind rumors to test her metal. Sarah ignited the Republican base when she talked of her values, her dreams and her hopes for America.

So, when you hear this garbage continue, remember the source. After all, if they lie to you about little things like criminal investigations, what other lies are they telling?
