Case Number: 09-53941

Type: Criminal Mischief IV

Text: At approximately 1600 on June 24, 2009, Troopers received a
report from Gayle Winrod, age 58, that while she was out in her boat a
group of boys had killed her rooster and wounded two of her chickens.
Upon investigation it was discovered that the rooster had died from
injuries received by 10 darts shot into its head from a blow dart gun
and that the surviving chickens had several darts in them as well.
Troopers contacted the 5 male juvenile suspects ranging in age from 8 to
14 yoa and the suspect's parents. A full report will be sent to
Juvenile Probation.

Location: Tenakee Springs

Case number: 09-54375

Type: Missing Watercraft

Text: On 6/26/09, at 1031 hours, AST received a report of a missing
skiff in Tenakee Springs. Investigation revealed that 6/25-6/26/09, a 9
foot NAIAD aluminum skiff went missing from the harbor in Tenakee
Springs. There are bright red with white trim flotation chambers on the
outside of the skiff and a 2hp Suzuki outboard motor is also attached.
Estimated value of the skiff is $4,000.00. Anyone with information to
the location of the missing skiff is asked to please contact the Alaska
State Troopers at 465-4000.

Location: Wasilla
Case number: 09-54208
Type: MVC-D

Text: On 06-25-2009 at approximately 2100 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a single motor vehicle collision near the intersection of
Hyer and Grantham, near Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Robb S.
Ashburn III, age 16 of Wasilla, was operating his 1993 Chevrolet pick-up
southbound on Hyer Rd at a high rate of speed when he lost control of
the vehicle, causing the vehicle to roll over in the ditch. All
occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seatbelts and no injuries
were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Ashburn
was issued a citation for basic speed. Alcohol was not a factor in the
collision.

Location: Big Lake
Case number: 09-53925
Type: MVC Injury/Assault III/Tampering with Evidence/DWLS/Fail to Report
an Accident/Warrant Arrest

Text: On 6-25-09 at approximately 0615 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to mile 6.8 Big Lake Rd. in Big Lake for the report of a
vehicle rollover. Investigation revealed Cory Hannon age 19 of Big Lake
was driving a 2007 Mitsubishi car when it left the roadway on a corner,
collided with a tree and overturned. Hannon phoned a family member who
responded to the scene and assisted in moving the vehicle from the crash
scene. Hannon removed the license plates, vehicle identification number,
left the vehicle on the side of the roadway, and fled the scene with a
family member. Troopers located Hannon who was found to have a suspended
drivers license and a warrant for his arrest. Hannon was treated for
injuries sustained in the crash before he was arrested and remanded to
Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held on $10,000.00 bail with a court
approved third party. A passenger in the vehicle also reported to have
sustained injuries. Both occupants reported wearing seatbelts. The
vehicle was considered a total loss. Investigation is continuing.

Type: Misuse of Plates

Text: On 6-25-09 at approximately 0200 hours, Alaska State Troopers
stopped a vehicle near mile 50 of the Parks Hwy in Wasilla for a moving
violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Nathen Roelfs age
21 of Wasilla. Investigation reaveled the vehicle Roelfs was driving had
license plates on it that belonged to a family members vehicle. The
vehicle was not insured and had not been registered. Roelfs was issued a
summons and released. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Location: Mile 102 Glenn Highway
Case number: 09-54254
Type: DUI, DWLR, Refusal, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor Child
(x2)

Text: On 6/26/2009, approx. 0336 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded
to mile 102 of the Glenn Highway for a reported vehicle blocking traffic
with the driver passed out behind the steering wheel. Investigation
revealed William A. Leonard Jr., age 29 of Anchorage, had been operating
the vehicle, a white 2000 Chevrolet pick up truck, while intoxicated,
while his license is revoked, and with two children in the vehicle; ages
3 and 4 years. Leonard later refused to provide a breath sample for
chemical testing. Leonard was remanded to MSPT where he was held on
$5,000 cash only bail with a required court appointed third party. The
children were released at the scene to OCS.

Case number: 09-54242
Type: DUI, NVOL & MICS IV

Text: On 6-26-09 at approximately 0130 hours, AST stopped a vehicle on
the Parks Highway near Alaska View Motel in Wasilla for erratic driving.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Carlton Pettit, 36 years
of age, of Wasilla. Pettit was driving without a valid drivers license
and was found to be operating the vehicle while impaired and under the
influence of alcohol. Pettit was also in possession of a controlled
substance which he manufactured. Pettit was arrested and remanded to
Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held on $2,750 c/c bail and court appointed
third party.

Location: Shungnak
Case number: 09-54001
Type: Arson

Text: On 6/25/09, State Troopers in Kotzebue received a report of a
structure fire at the Shungnak School storage building. Local residents
attempted to extinguish the blaze, but were unsuccessful and the
building, as well as its contents was lost. State Troopers responded to
Shungnak to investigate the fire and preliminary findings have revealed
that the fire was intentionally set. State Troopers are trying to
locate and identify two men wearing hooded sweatshirts that were seen
leaving the area with a gas can moments before the fire were discovered.
Anyone with information is asked to contact State Troopers in Kotzebue
at 1-800-789-3222. All callers can remain anonymous.

Location: Selawik
Case number: 09-54261
Type: Burglary 2, Theft 3

Text: On 6/26/09, State Troopers in Kotzebue received a report of a
burglary at the Selawik School. State Troopers learned that at
approximately 0400 hours a community resident discovered two backpacks
outside the school which contained concession goods from inside the
school. The resident contacted a school employee and the local VPO who
responded to the scene and contacted two juvenile males and Jody S.
Sheldon, 19 yoa, of Selawik inside as they were preparing to leave with
three more backpacks containing concession goods. The mother of one of
the juveniles is employed ad the school and the three individuals used
her keys to gain entry to the building without her knowledge. The
approximate value of the items stolen was $350. Jody S. Sheldon was
placed under arrest for felony burglary and misdemeanor theft. The
other two juveniles were released to parents and guardians and charges
will be forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

incident and assisted the Selawik VPO.

Type: Burglary

Text: On 6-25-09 at 1255 hours, Bessie Savage of Aniak reported to the
Alaska State Troopers, Aniak Post that her house had been burglarized
while she was at work on 6-24-09. Her medication medications, along
with meat from her freezer, was taken. The meat was valued at $150.00.

Text: On 6-25-09 at 1310 hours it was reported to the Alaska State
Troopers, Aniak Post there had been a property damage only accident at
the Aniak General Store. A 1984 Chevy Suburban was backed into a 1996
Ford Windstar Van. There was approximately $1200.00 damage to the
vehicles. The investigation continues.

Text: On 6-9-09, Alaska State Troopers in McGrath received a report that
a juvenile female was suspected to have been sexually assaulted in the

in Stebbins by VPO Delbert Acoman after the Stebbins Police Department
received information that Aaron Hunt had a warrant for his arrest. The
original charges were Misconduct involving Weapons in the Fourth Degree.

Type: Burglary 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief

Text: On June 25, 2009 at 0900 house, Alaska State Troopers in Bethel
were notified of a burglary in the Akiak School. Investigation revealed
that six juveniles entered the building at about 0100 hours that morning
through an open door and set off fire extinguishers. Five of the six
juveniles have been identified through the schools security camera
system. The investigation is still ongoing and an estimate to the
damages has not yet been made.

Type: Vehicle Theft 1

Text: On 06/26/09 Melvin P. JOSEPH,46YOA of Alakanuk reported to AST
that persons known to him stole his boat on or about 06/25/09 from the
riverbank near Alakanuk. The boat is described as an 18' Lund with a
four-stroke 40hp Yamaha motor and no other identifying numbers. AST,
with the cooperation of local law enforcement is currently seeking this
boat and the theft suspects. Anyone with information regarding this
crime is encouraged to contact AST.

Text: On 6/25/09 at approximately 0211 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a residence off of Mission Road, Kodiak for a report of a
disturbance. Investigation revealed Mark Hibbard, age 41 of Kodiak, had
broken an interior light and assaulted another household member.
Hibbard was arrested for Assault IV and Criminal Mischief IV,
transported, and remanded to Kodiak Police Department Jail where no bail
was set.

Type: Protective Custody/Mental Health Commitment

Text: On Wednesday, 6-24-09, at about 0144 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report that a 22 YOA male resident of Old Harbor was suicidal
by the boat dock. State Troopers subsequently took the intoxicated 22
YOA male into Protective Custody pending a mental health exam. The male
was transported to Kodiak where he was released to Providence Kodiak
Island Medical Center staff.

Location: Old Harbor

Case number: 09-53378

Type: Driving Under the Influence, Driving While License Revoked,
Reckless Driving, Assault 4th Degree

Text: On Tuesday, 6-23-09, at about 1430 hours, Alaska State Troopers
received a report that 27 YOA Dwayne Andrew Keeling of Old Harbor had
been driving a green Honda four-wheeler while intoxicated and struck a
15 YOA female resident of Old Harbor. State Troopers subsequently flew
to Old Harbor where they contacted Keeling. Investigation revealed
Keeling had been driving the four-wheeler on Mountain View Street when
he struck the female. Keeling's drivers license was revoked and he was
observed to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Charges of
Driving Under the Influence, Driving While License Revoked, Reckless
Driving, and Assault 4th Degree have been forwarded to the Kodiak
District Attorney's Office.

Text: On Wednesday, 6-24-09, at about 0346 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a report of disturbance at a Sitkalidak Street residence.
Subsequent investigation by State Troopers revealed 18 YOA Jennifer
Laurel Christiansen of Old Harbor was out of control and under the
influence of alcohol. Christiansen was arrested on an outstanding
misdemeanor warrant; original charge Minor Consuming Alcohol.
Christiansen was transported to Kodiak where she was remanded on the
warrant and a charge of Habitual Minor Consuming Alcohol.

Text: On Wednesday, 6-24-09, at about 0145 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted 29 YOA Julia Arlene Keeling of Old Harbor at a St. Matthews
Street residence. Keeling was subsequently arrested on an outstanding

Type: Burglary I/Criminal Trespass I

Text: On 06/24/09, approximately 1800 hrs., State Troopers in Dillingham
received a report of burglary and criminal trespass which had occurred
in Egegik. Investigation revealed that Jacy Douglas, age 32, of Egegik,
and Brenda Hill, age 32, of Eagle River had broken into a house in the
village on the nights of 06/22/09 and 06/23/09 without permission to do
so by the owner. Charges of Burglary I and Criminal Trespassing I are
being forwarded to the court for both. In addition, Douglas was found
to be in violation of his conditions of release on probation. Douglas
was arrested and transported to King Salmon, where he was lodged into
the jail, pending arraignment.

Text: On 06/25/09, approximately 1222 hrs., State Troopers in Dillingham
received a report of an assault which had occurred in Egegik, AK.
Investigation revealed that, on 06/24/09, approximately 1700 hrs., Misty
Apalone, age 27, of Egegik had assaulted Brenda Hill, age 32, of Eagle
River. During a disturbance, Apalone had pushed Hill causing her to
hurt her hand when she fell, and caused her to fear additional injury by
Apalone's actions. Apalone will be summoned into court on the charge of
Assault IV.

Text: On 6/26/09 at approximately 0112 hours, a 1995 Ford F-150 pickup,
driven by Marco O. Valentine, 40 YOA of Fairbanks, was stopped for a
traffic violation. The subsequent investigation revealed Valentine's
driver's license to be in revoked status. Valentine was arrested for
Driving with a Revoked Operator's License. Valentine was remanded to
the custody of the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

Text: On 6/26/2009 at 0309 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to
the College Inn to investigate an Eagle Cab driver reporting that a male
subject refused to pay for his cab fare after he had exited the cab and
entered the College Inn. Emil Georgiev Hugny-Farr, age 21 of Fairbanks,
refused to pay for his cab fare after being dropped off by Eagle Cab at
the College Inn because he had no money. Farr was arrested and remanded
to FCC for theft 3rd.

Text: On June 20, 2009 at 0230 hours, Troopers contacted Erica Ellen
Baier, age 18 of Anchorage, at the Cantwell Bluegrass Festival. Further
investigation revealed Baier was intoxicated and was under the age of
21. Baier was cited and released to a responsible sober adult.

Text: On 5/24/2009, at about 2145 hours, Jalene John, 50 years of age

Immediately).

Text: On 5/26/2009, at about 0025 hours, Dalen Titus, 25 years of age,
from Tanacross was arrested by Alaska State Troopers for Violation of
Conditions of Release by consuming alcoholic beverages after he was
contacted as a passenger in a vehicle stopped for an equipment
violation.

Case number: 09-45301

Type: Motor Vehicle Crash - Injury

Text: On 06-26-09 at approximately 0759 hours, Troopers responded to
mile 298 of the Parks Highway for the report of a rollover crash.
Investigation revealed that Thomas TEILBORG, 54 of Anchorage, was
driving a 2008 Ford truck south pulling a loaded snowmachine trailer.
TEILBORG entered the northbound ditch, returned sharply to the highway,
and caused the tire of the loaded trailer to shear off. The truck and
trailer entered the southbound ditch and rolled several times. TEILBORG
was wearing his seatbelt, and while seriously injured, avoided death
from being ejected from the truck. A passing motorist assisted TEILBORG
until Nenana EMS arrived and transported TEILBORG to the Fairbanks
Memorial Hospital. The vehicle and trailer were towed from the scene.
TEILBORG will be cited for Operating a Vehicle with a Load Adversely
Affecting Stability. Investigation complete.

Text: On 06-26-09, at approximately 0230 hours, Robert Wayne Jackson,
age 43 of Sterling, was stopped by Alaska State Troopers for a traffic

Text: On 6/25/09 at 2342 hours, Soldotna AST initiated an investigation
into a report of a broken rear window in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee.
Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Scott Harrison, age
40 of Kenai, for Criminal Mischief IV. Harrison was remanded to
Wildwood Pretrial Facility where he was held without bail.

Text: On 6-25-09 at 1420 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to
Arness Lake Airpark to investigate a possible assault. During the
course of the investigation, Craig Schweitzer, age 42, of Nikiski was
arrested for DUI. Schweitzer was additionally charged with two counts
of endangering the welfare of a child, misconduct involving weapons in
the fourth degree, and misconduct involving weapons in the fifth degree.
Schweitzer was transported to WWPT where he was remanded without bail.
