Type: EPIRB Signal
Text: On 6-22-09, at 0327, Ketchikan AST dispatch received a report of
an EPIRB signal activated in the Lutak Inlet area near Haines. The EPRIB
was registered to the F/V Morning Light. Haines PD responded to the area
and could observe a vessel in the general vicinity, but were unable to
raise them on the VHF. A US Coast Guard helicopter responded from Air
Station Sitka and eventually located a lone EPRID washed up on the
beach. The USCG believes that the EPIRB was either thrown overboard or
fell overboard. All vessels associated with the EPIRB have been
accounted for.

Case number: 09-52649
Type: Reckless Driving
Text: On 6/21/09 at approximately 2124 hours, Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on an orange 2005 Pontiac Sunfire on Pittman
Road near Edenfield Road, Wasilla. The vehicle was stopped for reckless
driving. The vehicle was observed to cross the center line of the
roadway forcing a patrol vehicle to take evasive action to avoid a
collision. The vehicle then sped off in a high rate of speed. The
driver of the vehicle was identified as 29 YOA Levi Henry Olaf Pinnow of
Wasilla. Pinnow was arrested for reckless driving and transported to
Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded and held on $1,000 bail.

Type: Driving While License Suspended
Text: On 06/22/2009 at approximately 0815 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted Megan M. Watkins, age 30 of Wasilla near the intersection of
Knik Goose Bay Road and the Palmer-Wasilla Highway extension in Wasilla
for disregarding the posted stop sign at Fern Street and Leota Drive.
Investigation revealed that M. Watkins was operating her 1994 Green Jeep
Cherokee with a Suspended driver's license. Investigation revealed that
M. Watkins driver's license was suspended for Failure to Maintain Proof
of Insurance and that she had been advised of her license status by the
Wasilla Police Department. M. Watkins was arrested at the scene and
issued two citations, one for Failure to Stop at a Posted Stop Sign and
the second for Failure to Show Proof of Insurance.
M. Watkins was transported and remanded to MSPT was held on $1,000 cash
bail.

Text: On 6/21/209 at approximately 1849 hours Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 brown GMC Yukon for speeding.
Investigation revealed 22 year old Amanda Nicole Huffman of Anchorage
was driving without a valid license. Huffman was issued a misdemeanor
citation to appear in court for driving without a valid license, a
citation for failure to provide proof of insurance and released. The
Yukon was released to a licensed driver.

Text: On 6/22/2009 at approximately 0857 hours Alaska State Troopers
responded to the report of a theft from a residence on W. Whirlpool
Circle in Wasilla. Investigation revealed a Garmin GPS had been stolen
from inside a 2007 Dodge pickup sometime between 2300 hours on 6/21/2009
and 0600 hours on 6/22/2009. The GPS was valued at approximately $200.
Investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this theft

Text: On 6/21/09 at 2233, AST contacted 26 year old Lucas Smith of Big
Lake at the end of B St in Talkeetna. Investigation revealed that Smith
had two outstanding no bail warrants for DUI and Eluding. Smith was
arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.

Case number: 09-52364, 09-52479
Type: Assault IV-DV, Warrant Arrest
Text: On 6-21-09 at approximately 0335 hours, Kotzebue Troopers received
a report of a disturbance in the village of Noorvik. Investigation
determined that Milton Jack, 43, of Noorvik assaulted a family member
after an alcohol induced tantrum. Further investigation revealed that
Jack had an outstanding arrest warrant for Failing to Comply with
Alcohol Screening for the original charges of Assault IV and Interfering
with a Report of Domestic Violence. Jack was subsequently arrested
without incident and transported to the Kotzebue Regional Jail where
bail was set at $500.00 for the warrant and no bail for Assault IV-DV
pending arraignment. State Troopers are continuing to investigate the
matter.

Type: Vehicle Theft 1st Degree and False Information
Text: On June 20, 2009 at approximately 0200 hours, Akiak Police
Department responded to a theft of a boat on the Kuskokwim River.
Investigation revealed that Henry NAPOKA, of Tuluksak, took an 18 foot
Lund boat from the shore line of Akiak and got the boat stuck on a sand
bar. When Akiak PD contacted NAPOKA, he was found to be intoxicated and
provided the officer with a false name. The boat sustained no damage and
was returned to the owner. NAPOKA was arrested and remanded to YKCC in
Bethel.

Text: On 05/02/2009, the Alaska State Troopers in Bethel received a
report regarding the possible sexual abuse of a Minor in Scammon Bay.

Text: On June 20, 2009 at 1524 hours, Hooper Bay Public Safety contacted
the Alaska State Troopers in Bethel to report a death. Investigation
revealed that Eugene S. JOSEPH, 58, of Hooper Bay dead that day of
apparent natural causes. Next of kin was notified and JOSEPH'S body was
released to family.

Text: On June 21, 2009 at 2:10am, 19 year old Robert Thomas Watson of
Bethel was stopped when his 4 wheeler nearly collided with a marked
Alaska State Trooper Patrol vehicle. Watson admitted consuming alcohol
prior to driving. Watson was arrested for Driving Under the Influence
of Alcohol and Minor Consuming Alcohol. Watson was transported and
remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center.

Text: On 06/20/2009, the Alaska State Troopers in Bethel received a
reported from Chevak Village Police Officer, who reported that Wayne
Hill (Age 72 of Chevak) died of natural causes, at his residence in
Chevak at approximately 0630. The Alaska State Medical Examiners Office
was notified of the circumstances pertaining to the incident and agreed
to release Hill's remains to the family for Burial. Alcohol is not a
factor in this incident and there was no of foul play.

Text: On 6/21/09 at approximately 0950 hours, Thomas N. Hart Jr., age
38, of St. Mary's, was observed operating an ATV in St. Mary's.
Investigation revealed Hart was impaired by alcohol and subsequently
arrested for DUI and remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correction Center
in Bethel, pending arraignment. Hart was in violation of he probation
by consuming alcohol.

Text: On 6-21-09 at approximately 2244 hours, while on routine patrol,
AST Kodiak was flagged down by a 21 year old female resident of Kodiak
who reported she had been assaulted moments earlier by her roommate.
Investigation revealed that 25 year old Jamie Fathke, of Kodiak, had
assaulted the woman. Fathke was arrested and charged with 4th Degree
Assault / Domestic Violence. She was remanded to the Kodiak City Jail
and held without bail pending an arraignment.

Text: On Sunday, 6-21-09, at about 1705 hours, 18 YOA Eli Gabriel Baker
of Kodiak reported that his .17 HMR Savage rifle with stainless barrel
and wooden stock was stolen from his pickup truck while it was parked

Type: Search and Rescue
Text: On 6/20/09 at about 0230 hours, a 33 year old female resident of
Nunum Iqua contacted Kotlik Police Department reporting a boat traveling
from Saint Michael to Nunum Iqua was overdue. The boat, carrying 5
adults and 6 children left Saint Michael at about 1800 hours on 6/19/09
and was to have arrived in Nunum Iqua by 0100 hours at the latest.
Kotlik Search and Rescue was authorized and an AST Alaska Wildlife
Trooper from Saint Mary's was requested to fly from Emmonak to Saint
Michael. On 6/20/09 at about 1500 hours, the boat was located in Kotlik
and all the passengers were fine. The boat experienced engine problems.

Text: On 6/14/09 at 1230 hours, AST received a report from a female
reporting that her husband, Douglas Seidelmann had broken items inside
the residence while intoxicated and was scared that she and her child
would be injured by him. AST responded but Douglas Seidelmann had fled
the residence prior to AST's arrival. Douglas Seidelmann was arrested
several days later on a warrant for the charges of DV Assault in the
Fourth Degree and Reckless Endangerment.

Text: On 6/17/09 at 2230 hours, the VPSO in New Stuyahok responded to a
report that the homeowner of a house where a drinking party had been
happening ordered a woman and her husband to leave the house. The owner
then reportedly pushed the woman down a flight of twelve steps as she
was leaving the house. She suffered a cut to her head that required
treatment at the village health clinic. The woman was treated and
released. Follow up investigation indicated that the woman, age 39, had
been intoxicated and may have fell down the steps on her own. The
incident is under continuing investigation.

Text: On 6/17/09 at 2132 hours, the VPSO in Koliganek received a report
from a 23 year-old woman who reported that her fiancee, 26 year-old
William Woods of Koliganek had assaulted her. Follow up investigation
revealed that Woods had assaulted the victim with a dangerous weapon.
Woods was arrested and remanded at the Dillingham Correctional facility
and held on $2500 bail.

Text: On 6/18/09 at 0730 hours, the VPSO in New Stuyahok responded to
the Nushagak River for a report that 30 year-old Moxie Wonhola of New
Stuyahok was intoxicated and attempting to operate his skiff on the
river. Investigation revealed that Wonhola was attempting to operate
his skiff to Lewis Point while being intoxicated. Wonhola failed all of
the field sobriety tests that he attempted and a preliminary breath test
indicated a breath alcohol content of .303%. Wonhola was arrested for
DUI and Disorderly Contact. He was remanded at the Dillingham
Correctional facility.

Type: Assault 4, Criminal Trespass 1, VCOR, Habitual MCA, Probation
Violation
Text: On 6/22/09, State Troopers in Kotzebue received a report of an
assault in the village of Noorvik. State Troopers responded to the
village and arrested Jerry L. Coffin, 19 yoa, of Noorvik after an
investigation revealed that he had illegally entered another persons'
residence and assaulted them. At the time of the incident Coffin was on
felony conditions of release for a previous case and on probation.
Coffin was placed under arrest for criminal trespass 1st degree, assault
4th degree, violating conditions of release, habitual minor consuming
alcohol, and probation violation. He was transported to Kotzebue and
remanded at the Kotzebue Regional Jail. The victim sustained minor
injuries and was treated at the Noorvik clinic and later released.

AST to report a death in the village. Health aides reported that a

Text: On 06-22-09, at approximately 0206 hours, Frankie Calvin Hancock,
age 53 of Kenai, was stopped by Alaska State Troopers for an equipment
violation near mile 80 of the Sterling Hwy. Hankcock was subsequently
arrested for two arrest warrants, which were both for failure to appear
in court for an original charge of Drunk on Licensed Premise. One
arrest warrant was for $150. The second arrest warrant was a no bail
warrant. Hancock was remanded at Wildwood without bail.

Text: On 6-20-09, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted 25 year old David
M. Mazur from Anchorage while he was sport fishing on the Kenai River.
Investigation revealed Mazur had retained one Sockeye Salmon which was
hooked in the back. Mazur was issued a citation for failing to release
a salmon hooked elsewhere than in the mouth. Bail was set at $250.00.

River below the Burma Landing. Investigation revealed that Jacobson was
sport fishing with bait in waters specified as un-baited artificial
lures only. Jacobson was subsequently issued a citation and a 36" King
salmon was seized as evidence; bail was set at $260 in the Palmer
District Court.

River. Investigation revealed that Lane was sport fishing with Bait
where prohibited and had operated a watercraft with a child under the
age of 13 not wearing a PFD. Lane was subsequently issued citations;
total bail was set at $220 in the Palmer District Court.
