Type: Warrant Arrest

Text: On 5/20/09, at 1143 hours, Curtis Lane, age 25 of Angoon, was
arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on 3
counts of driving without a valid license. Lane was arraigned in Angoon
and later released after posting $250.00 bail.

Location: Chickaloon
Case number: 09-40520
Type: MVC-I
Text: On 5-19-09, at about 1559 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded
to mile 86 of the Glenn Highway near Chickaloon for a reported single
motorcycle collision. An investigation revealed that Eric Maxwell, age
40, of Copper Center, was traveling northbound on the Glenn Highway on
his 2007, Victory Motorcycle. Maxwell was reported to have hit some
loose gravel where he lost control of his motorcycle and brushed up
against the guardrail breaking his leg. Maxwell was able to keep
control of his motorcycle where he was able to stop without further
damage. Maxwell was transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital where he
was treated and released. The motorcycle sustained only minor damage.
Maxwell was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Type: Driving in Violation of Instructional Permit

Text: On 05/19/09, at approximately 1946 hours, AST contacted Alexandra
E. Whitsett, age 19, of Anchorage, during a traffic stop on the
Palmer/Wasilla Highway near 49th State Street for a traffic violation.
An investigation revealed Whitsett was driving in violation of her
instructional permit. Whitsett was issued a misdemeanor citation for
Driving in Violation of Instructional Permit and released at the scene.

Type: Warrant Service
Text: On 05-20-09 at approximately 0010 hours Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on a maroon 1989 Cadillac for a moving
violation on the Parks Highway and Pittman Road in Wasilla.
Investigation revealed that a 17 year-old juvenile from Fairbanks had an
outstanding arrest warrant for a probation violation. The juvenile was
arrested, transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Youth Center to await
arraignment.

Type: DV Assault and DV Criminal Mischief
Text: On 5/20/2009, approx. 0310 hours, Alaska State Troopers
investigated a domestic disturbance at a residence near Bogard Road in
the Wasilla area. Investigation revealed 46 yoa Alan C. Braley had
assaulted a family member and caused approx. $200.00 damage to the
residence. Braley was arrested for Assault in the Fourth Degree and
Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, both involving Domestic
Violence. He was remanded to MSPT; held without bail.

Type: Death Investigation
Text: On 5/20/2009, approx. 0200 hours, Alaska State Troopers
investigated the expected home death of Louise T. Todd, age 85 of
Wasilla. Investigation revealed Todd died on 5/20/2009, approx. 0135
hours, following an extended illness and while at an assisted living
facility in the Wasilla area. No foul play is suspected and her next of
kin has been notified.

Text: On 5/20/2009 at approximately 0613 Alaska State Troopers conducted
a traffic stop on a white 2004 Ford pickup for an equipment violation.
Investigation revealed Joe Kenneth Holden, age 42 of Wasilla, was
driving while license suspended. Holden was issued a citation for
appear in court for DWLS, a citation for tinted windows, and released to
a licensed driver.

Type: Driving While License Cancelled (DWLC)

Text: On 5/19/09 at 2031 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a white
1990 Ford F-150 near mile 90 of the Parks Highway for multiple traffic
violations. Investigation revealed that 70 year old Harding Atwater of
Willow was driving on a canceled license. Atwater was issued a summons
to appear in court and his vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

Type: Vehicle Theft I

Text: On 5/20/2009 at 1123 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a
residence off of Avalon Court in Wasilla for a reported Vehicle Theft.
Investigation revealed that an unknown person(s) stole a 2000 Chevrolet
Silverado on 05/20/2009, between 0230 hours and 1015 hours. The owner of
the vehicle described it as black with silver on the bottom half of the
doors as well as having a large number "68" in the rear window.
Investigation is continuing. Anyone with information regarding this case
is asked to call the Alaska State Troopers at 745-2131 or Crimestoppers
at 745-3333.

Type: DWLS

Text: On 05/20/2009 at approximately 1610 hours, Alaska State Troopers
contacted the driver of an inoperable vehicle at the intersection of
Knik Goose Bay Rd. and Vine Rd. near Wasilla. The operator of the
vehicle was identified as Den M. Delaney, age 19, of Wasilla. Delaney
was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license.
Delaney was issued a summons to appear in the Palmer Court for DWLS.
The vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.

Case Number: 09-40337

Type: Probation Violation

Text: On 5/16/09, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers were on
routine patrol in Ekwok. Troopers contacted Michael Kawaglia, age 38 of
Ekwok, who was intoxicated. Further investigation revealed Kawaglia is
currently on probation for a 2007 Assault 4 conviction and one condition
is not to consume alcohol. A report will be referred to the Dillingham
Assistant District Attorney's Office for revocation considerations.

Location: Aboard M/V Stellar Sea

Case number: 09-40670

Type: Assault 4

Text: On 5/19/09, Dillingham based Alaska State Troopers responded to
the M/V Stellar Sea anchored in Togiak Bay near Togiak for an assault
investigation. Troopers arrested Ali N. Mohamed, age 56 of Rochester,
Minnesota, for Assault 4- domestic violence after investigation showed
he assaulted a roommate aboard the vessel. Mohamed was remanded to
Dillingham Jail pending arraignment.

Type: Warrant Arrest

Text: On May 19, 2009 at 4:50 pm, Bethel Alaska State Troopers arrested
35 year old Samuel Snyder of Bethel on an arrest warrant for two counts
of Sexual Assault in the 1st Degree, one count of Kidnapping, and one
count of Sexual Assault in the 2nd Degree. Snyder was transported to
Bethel's Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center where he is being held on
$150,000.00 bail.

Type: Search and Rescue

Text: On 5/20/09 at 0050 hours, the Alaska State Troopers were notified
of an overdue snow machiner. Eric Olson Jr., 28 yoa, of Hooper Bay left
towards Chevak to go hunting but has not returned home from his hunt. A
hastie team from Hooper Bay and Chevak has been sent out to search. AST
has lauched an aircraft to assist in the search. RCC in Anchorage has
been contacted. The search continues. Alcohol may be involved.

Location: Stebbins

Case number: 09-40441

Type: Assault

Text: On 5/19/09, Unalakleet AST received a report of an assault in the
village of Stebbins. Investigation revealed that Rachel Mike, age 47 of
Stebbins had stabbed her boyfriend with a knife. The victim suffered a
serious injury to his arm and had to be medivaced to Anchorage for
treatment. Mike was arrested and transported to Nome for arraignment.
Alcohol was involved. The victim is expected to survive his injury.

Case number: 09-40773

Type: Assault III on a Police Officer, Assault III x 2

Text: On 5/20/09, at approximately 0203 hours, Village Police Officer
Clarence Snyder Jr. of Selawik reported to the Alaska State Troopers in
Kotzebue that he and two other individuals had just been threatened with
a shotgun by John Myers, age 18 years, also of Selawik. VPO Snyder
reported he and the two individuals were detaining an intoxicated
juvenile to be released to a sober third party. Myers had been informed
a family member had been assaulted and left his residence with a shotgun
to make contact with the family member or possible suspects in the
assault. Myers contacted Snyder and the two individuals. Myers pointed
the shotgun at them and threatened to kill them. Troopers from Kotzebue
responded and contacted Myers at his residence and arrested him without
incident. No one was injured and no alcohol was involved. Myers was
transported to Kotzebue Regional Jail and remanded pending arraignment.

Type: Assault IV - DV

Text: On 5-20-09, at approximately 0915 hours, Kotzebue AST responded to
the village of Selawik after receiving a report of a domestic violence
assault. Virgil Clark, age 49 of Selawik was arrested for Assault IV
after he assaulted a family member at his residence. Clark was
transported to Kotzebue Regional Jail where he is being held without
bail pending arraignment. Alcohol was a factor in the case

Text: On May 20, 2009 at 5:00pm, Bethel Alaska State Troopers served
Randol Lang with an arrest warrant while Lang was housed at Bethel's

Location: North Pole

Case Number: 09-40705

Type: Motor Vehicle Collision - Damage Only

Text: On 5/20/2009 at 0858 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to
a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Badger Road and Bradway
Road. Investigation revealed Dana Johnson-Davis, age 25 of North Pole,
was driving her 2002 Ford truck north bound on Badger Road when a 1982
Toyota truck driven by Claude Klaver, age 84 of Fairbanks, failed to
stop at a stop sign while crossing Badger Road from eastbound Bradway
Road. Johnson-Davis was unable to avoid the Toyota and the two vehicles
collided. The Toyota was totaled in the collision and the Ford truck
sustained approximately $3,000.00 in damage. Both drivers were wearing
seatbelts and no injuries were reported. Klaver was issued a citation
for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Type: Vehicle Theft I

Text: On 5/20/2009 at 1321 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report of a motorcycle theft from a residence off of Levee Way in North
Pole. Investigation revealed, sometime in the past week unknown
suspect(s) stole a yellow and white colored 2004 Suzuki DR-Z400E
motorcycle from the front yard of a residence off of Levee Way. The
motorcycle is valued at approximately $4,000.00. Anyone with information
about this theft is encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers at
451-5100.

Text: On 05-19-09, at approximately 1821 hours, David Mark Dean (age 42
of Nikiski), was stopped for a traffic violation and was subsequently

Text: On 05-19-09, at approximately 1935 hours, Louis Joseph Dornbusch
(age 45 of Kasilof) was arrested by Alaska State Troopers for two counts
of Hindering Prosecution, Operating a Motor-vehicle without Liability
Insurance, Reckless Endangerment (DV), and Harassment in the Second
Degree. Dornbusch was remanded at Wildwood without bail.

Type: Criminal Trespass

Text: On 5/18/09 at 0100 hours, Alaska State Troopers investigated a
report of a criminal trespass of a dwelling that occurred in Sterling.
Dung Denette, 61 of Sterling, reported that a man entered her home
asking for money. He then stated that he was looking for Denette's
neighbor. Denette began dialing 911, and the man offered her two
dollars not to call the police. The man left when Denette called 911.
No property was damaged or stolen, and Denette received no injuries.

On 05-14-09, at approximately 0700 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers from
the Cordova Post contacted John Thomas, age 57, aboard F/V K-2.
Investigation revealed that Thomas had no current distress flares on
board. A citation was issued. Bail is set at $60.00.

Type: Boating Safety Violation

On 05-14-09, at approximately 0730 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers from
the Cordova Post contacted Ronald Baird, age 32, of Wasilla aboard F/V
Shiprock. Investigation revealed that Thomas had no personal floatation
device on board. A citation was issued. Bail is set at $110.00.
