"Plate 1"
The opening reception for a display of remarkable tableware at Out North, Primrose and Debarr, continues as I write this. The buffet's pretty good, too, if you can get there before 7 p.m. on Friday, April 17. Otherwise, the exhibit remains up until April 27.
"Plate 2": Serve white wine with whatever you put on this plate.
The plates are created by teams of potters and painters and sold as a fundraiser for Homer's Bunnell Arts Center. They range from $100 to $1000. Most, but not all, are the traditional round shape.
"Plate 3"
Many are expertly drawn, like Wanda Seamster's portrait of Einstein on a platter by Ahna Iredale. And bright colors decorate a number of the pieces.

Also at the Out North gallery, there are several paintings on display, including oils by the late Alex Combs and work by Sonya Kelliher-Combs. Sales of the Combs work helps support a fund to help artists in all media.
