Anchorage Voice for Animals is a group for citizens concerned about the municipalitys' neglected and isolated pets. Too often backyard pets are left in all weather to fend for themselves, on heavy chains or in filthy pens, without access to clean water and shelter. This obvious neglect and abuse unfortunately has been a grey area in Title 17, even though these basic needs are seemingly spelled out in the code. Our mission for Anchorage Voice for Animals is to educate the public, advocate for a true enforcement of Title 17, and demonstrate humane care taking techniques. Meetings are open to all and are held at Cafe Felix in Metro Music off of Benson near New Seward the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at 11 am. Join us to make a difference!
Thanks Metis for letting us know about this great organization. If you care about the welfare of dogs and cats and want to be involved in making a difference...go to the meetings and join in! To those web-site designers who want the opportunity to put their skills at work for the benefit of animals...AVA needs their first web-site and this could be your greatest opportunity to be a voice for animals in crisis. Show you care!
