The consignment store formerly known as Out of the Closet is hosting a birthday bash to celebrate five years in business on Saturday. This will also be the much-anticipated time when the store’s new name is revealed.

In case you missed that story, here’s the nutshell version: While she was on the campaign trail, Gov. Sarah Palin name-dropped Out of the Closet as one of her favorite local shopping spots. The spotlight sparked the attention of a Lower 48 thrift store of the same name, and long story short, Out of the Closet received a cease and desist order to stop using the name. So they’re changing it up—and with all the sales and specials on Saturday it only benefits you! Drawings will be hosted throughout the day: two for $100 gift certificates and one grand-prize $500 wardrobe makeover. Shoppers will receive a 25 percent discount on apparel too.

The Clothesline Consignment will host its monthly Cupcake Sale this Sunday, Feb. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You’ll find the usual, yet always fabulous and shop-worthy lineup, of cupcakes, 25 to 75 percent markdowns and a $5 rack.
