A healthy vacation in Thailand

The people of Thailand eat ALL DAY. No joke, there are food stalls everywhere you go. People are selling fruits, veggies and cooking chicken and other mysterious things on every corner. This is good because I like to eat. Although my food choices are picky considering the fact that I'm health conscious, I still have endless choices wherever I am.
One of my favorite places to eat in Thailand (MK Suki-Yaki) where you cook your food yourself.: The best part is you don't have to wait for someone else to cook your food, you get to eat as you go and the food choices are very healthy. One of my favorite places to eat in Thailand (MK Suki-Yaki) where you cook your food yourself.: The best part is you don't have to wait for someone else to cook your food, you get to eat as you go and the food choices are very healthy.

Keeping in mind the fact that people are constantly eating here, not many are overweight and I haven't seen one obese local person in over a week's time.

I've observed the different activities around the area and for the most part, the people are very active- although there are still those who sit behind desks all day and who are still not overweight. I've chalked it up to genetics because there doesn't seem to be any other explanation in the differences in lifestyles between here and the United States. On a recent visit to a park, I witnessed a man in his mid 60's hanging upside down from a set of monkey bars doing crunches- I was very impressed!

There are parks all over the place that are dedicated to fitness and healthy activities. I visited Lumpini park in Bangkok a few days ago and they had three outdoor fitness areas where you could work out just as you would at Powerhouse gym or any other, the only difference was that things were outside- but still fully equipped!

The foods choices are endless and most often there are healthy options at every stop. This makes it nice so I don't have to compromise my healthy lifestyle while I'm away from home.
