As a rescuer, you hear all the stories of why people are "getting rid of" (I hate that term. You get rid of your garbage, you place or rehome an animal). Every phone call pretty much starts out with I have to get rid of my cat/dog... and somewhere in the conversation you hear "he's a wonderful cat", "he's the best dog in the whole world", "you couldn't ask for a better cat/dog", etc. Okay, if they are that great, why are you 'getting rid' of him/her?
An animal rescue advocate in Fairbanks found this link and shared it with us. Many of you can probably relate. It sure made us chuckle. Enjoy it...let us know what you think.
