The Dog Blog is a community of ordinary dog lovers who have come together to discuss our extraordinary dogs. Each Monday, a new topic is introduced. If you've got an opinion, share it. If not, look for the current "anything goes" topic and introduce a discussion of your own.
Your host: Mike Lewis is a little-dog nerd and the proud owner of Eddie and Jack, a pair of Yorkies who think they are huskies. Perhaps to save face among the big-dog owners around here, he rescued a goofy 9-year-old Lab named Rusty over the winter. An odd trio, for sure, but they are best friends and a happy pack.

Boy and his dog, 2nd place
It's agonizing to try to pick one cute pooch over another, but it's tough to argue with the results of this week's contest. This picture of Yuka, the 5-year-old pug at a Pug Party, is terrific. Thanks Toni for submitting it. Yuka pulled down 9 votes to win the lion's share after another record week of voting.
We had 41 votes, and for the first time ever, every single dog received at least one vote. Do I detect some love from Riverlee? I think so.
The runner-up, a boy and his dog, got 7 votes, which would have been enough to win every other week. Awesome picture, Robyn.
Yuka gets his picture featured here for being champ. Boy and his dog gets his picture here because I've met both boy and dog and can attest to the cuteness and intelligence of each.
