Gay-Straight Alliances

Glavinic gives an overview of GSA clubs in Anchorage high schools, which have been successful in making high school a place where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered youth can be safe and be themselves.

Judges comments: "This story effectively uses the voices of students, a club advisor and others to give listeners an explanation of gay-straight alliance clubs in Anchorage high schools. A good mix of interviews, including comments from a former student, provides insight. Nice work on a sensitive topic." -Robert A. Frahm
