She is an exceptional athlete. Sarah is a superb team leader, and has helped lead the three teams she plays on to great successes, playing on the championship flag football team, the state runner-up in basketball, and the 2007 state championship soccer team. She was also named the Alaska State Player of the Year for basketball in 2008. Sarah brings out the best in her teammates as well as her competition and deserves this title.

Alaska's Girls athlete of the year - Andrea Crook
Andrea Crook-
Three time track and field Region IV Champ in the 400m and 200m. State Champion record holder in the 400m (57:16). Only female in history to win the State title in the 400m three consecutive times. This would have held true in the 200m as well but she sacrificed making it a double record, instead her focus was geared toward her teammates, she wanted the 4x4 relay team she was on to win a title (which they did). That shows that she is a true leader. Just one of the rare qualities this gifted athlete has. Andrea will be attending the University of Arkansas (Div I) in the fall on a track and field Scholarship.
