Troopers are investigating a burglary that resulted in thousands of dollars in losses. See the dispatch out of Wasilla below--

Type: Criminal Mischief III
Text: On 4/23/08 at approximately 1350 Forris Bess, age 35 of Hydaburg,
reported that the rear passenger side windows of his 1992 Chevy Blazer
had been broken out sometime over the weekend, 4/19/08 or 4/20/08, as
the car was parked on the street near his residence on Bayview Street in
Hydaburg. Bess provided a damage estimate of $1150. Investigation is
continuing.

Location: Ketchikan

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 4/23/08 at 1828 hours, AST contacted Leonard F. Ryan, age 36,
of Ketchikan at a residence on Austin Street. Investigation revealed
that a bench warrant from the Ketchikan Superior Court had been issued
for Ryan regarding probation violations for the original charges of
Sexual Abuse of a Minor-2nd Degree and Furnishing Liquor to a Minor.
Ryan was arrested and remanded to the Ketchikan Correctional Center on
$1500.00 bail.

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 4/23/08, at approximately 2312 hours, Alaska State Troopers
arrested Laurie M. Berton, 37 years of age of Wasilla, at Mat-Su
Regional Medical Center. Berton had an outstanding warrant for FTA for
original charge of DWLS. Berton was transported to the Matsu Pretrial
Facility where she was held. Bail for the warrant was $500.00 c/c.

Type: Burglary I, Theft II, Criminal Mischief III
Text: On 04/23/08 at approximately 1950 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a resident near Mile 11 of Knik-Goose Bay Road in Wasilla
for a reported burglary and theft that occurred between 1030 and 1930
hours. Investigation determined a side window was damaged and numerous
electronic items were stolen to include a laptop computer, handheld HAM
radios, and a large GPS. Approximate value of the stolen items is $2300
and damage to the residence valued at approximately $550. Investigation
is continuing. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Alaska
State Troopers at 745-2131 or the Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

Type: Attempted Burglary I, Criminal Mischief V
Text: On 04/23/08 a resident on W. Shearwater Street in Wasilla,
reported an attempted burglary that occurred between 0630 and 1200
hours. Investigation determined the front door and a side window screen
were damaged. Nothing was reported missing from the residence. Repairs
to the door and screen were estimated at $25.

Text: On 04/24/2008 at approximately 0128 hours the AST South-Central
DUI Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle near mile 59 of the Parks Hwy.
for a moving violation. Isaac Philemonof, age 22, of Anchorage was
contacted as a passenger in the vehicle. Investigation found Philemonof
to have an arrest warrant for failure to satisfy judgment on the
original charge of Minor Consuming Alcohol. Philemonof was arrested and
remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility where he was held on a bail of
$500.00.

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 04-24-2008, at 1015 hours, the Alaska State Troopers arrested
Hollie Lund, age 28, of Palmer for a Failure To Appear warrant on the
original charge of DWLS. Lund was contacted by Troopers when she turned
herself in at the Trooper Post in Palmer. Lund was transported to the
Matsu Pretrial Facility where she was remanded into their custody. Bail
was set at $250.00.

Type: Natural Death
Text: On 4/24/08 at approximately 0725 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a residence on Via Tranquilla Road in Wasilla for a death.
Investigation revealed that Andrey Martushev (41) of Wasilla passed away
at his residence from natural causes. The State Medical Examiner
responded and released the body to family. The Next of Kin was on scene
at the time of death.

Text: On 4/24/2008 at approximately 1508 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a report of a burglary on Acorn Street in Wasilla.
Investigation revealed that a Conex in the yard was burglarized and
various items were stolen. Total value of the stolen property is
estimated at $5,000.00. If you have any information involving this case

Text: On 4-24-08, at 1553 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Joseph
M. Brawford, age 44, of Palmer at the intersection of Bogard Road and
Zakandra Circle, Wasilla while performing a traffic stop on a vehicle
with expired registration. Investigation revealed that Brawford was
operating the vehicle while his license was revoked. Brawford was
issued citation for operating a vehicle with expired registration and a
summons for Driving While License Revoked. Brawford is scheduled for a
court appearance in Palmer.

Type: Burglary I & Criminal Mischief III
Text: On 4-24-2008 at approximately 1520 hours Dorothy Webster age 37 of
Wasilla reported that her residence off of Soloma Court had been broken
into. Alaska State Troopers found that unknown person or persons had
entered the residence over the past two weeks and destroyed the insides
of the trailer and the outer porch. Webster was not staying at the
residence at the time but had several personal items stored there.
Those items had been removed and thrown into the yard where it was
damaged beyond repair. Troopers estimate the damage to the trailer
house as a total loss. If you have any information about this or any

Text: On 4/24/08 at approximately 1741hours, State Troopers contacted
Erin E. Guhl, age 27 of Palmer, and Joshua S. Swingart, age 26 of
Palmer, while performing a traffic stop on a 1990 Chevrolet Pickup on
49th State Street at Strand Drive for an inoperative taillight and
illegally modified exhaust system . Guhl was discovered to be driving
the vehicle while her license was revoked for Unsatisfied Judgement.
Guhl was issued a summons for DWLS. Swingart was also issued a summons
for Permiting an Unauthorized Person to Drive.

Text: On 4-23-08 Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence off of
Chena Hot Springs Road following a report of a domestic disturbance.
Investigation revealled Wesley AVARA of Fairbanks assaulted two family

IV.

Text: On 4/24/08 at 1000 hrs. Alaska State Troopers stopped a 1994 Ford
Taurus near Wendell Street and Clay Ave for multiple traffic
infractions. Kevin L. Coe, 34 yoa of Fairbanks, was later charged with
probation violation for possessing alcohol in violation of his parole
and probation. The case was referred to Adult Probation, Coe was not
arrested at the traffic stop.

Text: On 4/24/08 at 1345 hrs. Alaska State Troopers and Airport Police
responded to the Frontier Flying Service terminal to meet a flight from
Galena to arrest a person who failed to show at arraignment at the
Galena District Court. AST arrested Donovan L. Huntington, 24 yoa of
Galena, and transported him to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

Type: Importation of Alcohol to a Local Option Area, Transport Alcohol
on a Common Carrier
Text: On 4-23-08 WAANT investigators in Dillingham contacted Elton J.
Martin, age 34 of Goodnews Bay after he attempted to fly to Goodnews Bay
on a local air carrier. Investigation resulted in the seizure of seven
750ml bottles of distilled spirits from Martin and his luggage. Elton
J. Martin is being charged with Importation of Alcohol to a Local Option
Area and Transport of Alcohol on a Common Carrier in violation of
Labeling Requirements. Dillingham resident Joseph L. Martin, age 59 is
also being charged with Importation of Alcohol to a Local Option Area
for his role in purchasing the alcohol for Elton J. Martin.

Text: On 4-23-08, at approximately 1300 hours, the Alaska Fugitive Task
Force (members of the USMS, APD, AST) arrested Stephanie Moore (40) of
Anchorage at a residence in midtown Anchorage for an outstanding felony
warrant for Theft 1. MOORE was taken to Anchorage jail where she is held
in lieu of a $5,000 bail.
