I held off hope when I went to bed last night that the storm would end, but I woke to about 4" of new snow in the yard. I was having a hard time with the slow thaw, so this is just one more slap in the face, a cold one at that.
But all three dogs were swarming me at walk time, so I bootied up the Yorkies and put on their coats. The Lab went without.
Amazingly, they all loved it. Eddie had more energy than he's had in weeks. He sprinted through the snow and buried his head when he came across some familiar scents. And Jack, who has refused to walk in mud, plowed steadily through the deep snow.
I have to admit that the walk, when it was over, was more pleasant that the ones of the last week or so in the mud and muck.
So what's you're feeling about the new snow? And how did your dogs react?
