Fifteen Alaskan playwrights have secured play lab slots at the 16th annual Last Frontier Theatre Conference, which runs June 14-21 in Valdez.
From a record-breaking pool of 270 submissions, just 62 plays were chosen, including works by Anchorage playwrights Linda Billington, Ryan Buen, Rita A. Miraglia, P. Shane Mitchell, Mark Muro, Casey Prout and Mark Stoneburner.
The conference schedule is still in flux, but there are plans to highlight another Anchorage playwright: On June 16, Three Wise Moose will perform Arlitia Jones’ play “Sway Me Moon,” which premiered in February at Out North.
