Compass guidelines return online

I was out of town for a week and impressed by how many inquires were sent to the letters editor asking how to send a Compass. One person called back and asked whether she was going a little bonkers. Seems she remembered seeing the guidelines online and spent a good deal of time trying to track them down again. Was it all her imagination? No. The guidelines were indeed MIA.
The Daily News launched a re-designed Web site awhile ago, and guidelines for how to submit a Compass disappeared. But they are back!
Should you find yourself in need of tips for sending a Compass, here's where to look: www.adn.com/help/compass_guidelines/. If you forget this, just go to www.and.com and scroll down to the Opinion section of the Web site. In the middle of the page is a link titled "Submit a Compass piece." Click that to be redirected to the guidelines page.
