I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the folks who discover our new blog. I'm Cindy, the kitty side of the rescue group Kitty and K-9 Connection.
I have been involved in rescue for a far back as I can remember, from a child who used to bring animals home to now. It didn't matter...from the baby mice the greenhouse found when they dug up the ground, the baby birds whose mom was killed, the hit-by-car tortoise with the cracked shell to the frog with the broken leg. It use to drive my mother nuts and she once told me "when you're old enough to live on your own you can have as many animals as you want" and by golly I do. I love all critters, but my passion is cats. I am a 100% cat lover, though I do own dogs and my token rabbit.
In this blog site, we hope to provide information that you as a pet parent may find helpful. We will discuss behavioral concerns, how to introduce a new pet, pet myths, medical issues and whatever else may be of interest. A lot of what we know we have learned over the years through trial and error. We are not veterinarians and we won't have all the answers, but we can certainly try and point you in the right direction. We are open to comments, suggestions and questions and we hope you find our blog helpful and of interest.
