Here's a head's up about an upcoming theater performance with a hook-in to public television and the environment. Kaiulani Lee's one-woman play, "A Sense of Wonder," centers on biologist and author Rachel Carson, whose 1962 book, "Silent Spring," took on pesticides and catalyzed the environmental movement.
Lee will perform the play in Anchorage next month, but talks about her 15 years of inhabiting Carson's life and ideas during an episode of Bill Moyer's Journal at 8 p.m. Friday, September 21, on KAKM channel 7.
See it before seeing the play, which will show at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 4, at the Sydney Lawrence Theater (263-2787, www.centertix.net). Find out more in Play.
