Discuss: What chain should be next?

Olive Garden for me!! Then either a Sonic or TEXAS Whataburger, although DQ will have'ta do for now. As far as good seafood or pasta that "we already have"... I haven't found it yet. Somebody should have mercy on us and open a terrifically great tasting and authentic MEXICAN food restaurant! With all the ethnic changes up here, one should be available....I'm talking interior Mexico food, not the border crap. Restaurants are MOST IMPORTANT since everything else can be bought online! :)

Macy's, Sephora, Olive Garden, Six Flags (fat chance), NFL/NBA/MLB Team (fat fat chance), actual spring & fall weather (just dreaming), become a major concert stop, a wider Tudor Road, don't get me started.

Sonic for sure

I'd love to see a Sonic in Anchorage and for shopping a Foley's (great variety, great prices) and a Family Christian Store. Since Last Frontier Christian bookstore closed there are certainly enough people to support another Christian store in Anchorage.

How can you forget???

My favorite place is Boston Market, the best palce for rotisserie chicken. YUMMY!!! I also love Macaroni Grill, the pasta is great and the meat is fresh and wonderfully cooked.

Before I even saw the headline

The obvious answer to what should come next is the olive garden. Plus there is a Bed Bath and beyond opening p already in the new mountain view mall next to petco..Plus the difference between trader joes and sagaya would be price. Everything in sagaya is overpriced. The idea of trader joes removing fancy expensive labels to pass the savings on to you is brilliant and more businesses should follow this idea.

Definitely PF Chang's & Vickie's!

For food: I think PF Chang's is amazing, and have been to several of their restaurants across the Lower 48 - always packed!

For clothing: Victoria's Secret is a no-brainer! The only nice place to get decent lingerie in Alaska is Nordstrom - and I believe a lot of Alaskans shop at VS online and through their catalogs!

Waffle House!

Waffle House definitely ... White Castle and Sonic would be good too. Also a good rib place ... I miss Tony Roma's. And Bath & Body Works for shopping. I take an extra suitcase when I go Outside so I can stock up.

LOCAL

I like the local businesses better than the chains. Who needs Whole Foods or Trader Joe's when you have Sagaya's? There are plenty of good restaurants up here for pasta and seafood -- we don't need a Red Lobster or an Olive Garden. I've never understood this obsession with bringing chains up here. Maybe it's comforting to all the folks who move up here from Outside? I think there are already enough eyesores at the intersection of C and Tudor. There are plenty of good, local places to get your pasta, seafood and fancy condiments.

I HEARD A FEW YEARS AGO THAT TARGET DOES NOT SUPPORT THE MILITARY AND WILL NOT HOLD JOBS FOR THE GUARDSMAN AND WOMAN THAT GO OVERSEAS TO WAR ??

Burgerville!!!

Nothing beats a tillamook bacon cheeseburger, and strawberry shake from Burgerville! Of course Dave and Busters is great, an adult Chuck E Cheese, but I don't think we have quite enough people for it and the luster would wear off and it wouldn't stay busy enough. But it is a really cool place!

New Franchises to ANchorage :)

For Food: Definitely OLIVE GARDEN or RED LOBSTER (With ALASKA SEAFOOD)exception of course would be the Lobster :)

For Shopping: VICTORIA SECRETS would be wonderful. I would like a classy store to buy nice Lingerie and Lotions in Rather then the TRASH stores we have in Anchorage. The Castle??? umm TRaSH the LOOK um TRASH and though we can get some nice Lingerie at Nordstroms.. VICTORIA SECRETS has the BEST Lotions and Fragrances. IMO :)

I agree that Red Lobster is a little redundant, we live in Alaska! Olive Garden would be nice too, but Anchorage has good Italian, so it is a nice vacation treat. My choice would be Sonic (the Strawberry Limeade IS that good!), Krispy Kreme (duh) or the Whole Foods store chain.
Of course, people in Fairbanks would be happy to just get our own Arby's!
