Just hours before the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra's 8 p.m. performance of "Triumph" at the Atwood Conncert Hall on Saturday--with music composed and conducted by Randall Craig Fleischer and dancing by the Jones Benally family--three of those Navajo dancers will do a free punk rock gig at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
If someone wants to drag you to the symphony (which should be a an awesome program, by the way), then drag them to Blackfire's gig and share the love. Music is music, right? The hard-rocking band with a political soul will play at 2:30 p.m. during the center's drumming and dance festival all day Saturday. Admission is free.
Check it out and let us know what you think.
