Legislators pre-filed another round of bills Friday. Among them, Rep. Max Gruenberg has a bill that would outlaw putting a TV or computer in your car that you can see while driving.
This would be a misdemeanor, unless you hurt someone else while driving.
Reps. Bill Stoltze and Ralph Samuels propose a bill that would require people who witness a violent crime to report it to police, or face felony charges. According to the text of the bill, the law currently says you only have to report a crime such as rape or murder when it happens to a child. (Incoming Sen. Lesil McGuire has written about supporting a similar change on the Senate side.)
