Center Nate Thompson of Anchorage, who made his NHL debut earlier this season, was called up by the Boston Bruins for a third time and played four shifts Tuesday night in a 4-1 win at Toronto.
Thompson, 22, on Wednesday was sent back down to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, where he has spent most of the season. In 18 games for the Baby Bruins, Thompson owns 3-5--8 totals. Thompson has played three games with Boston this season.

Later, 6 AST, the Alaska Aces play the fourth game of their six-game road trip when they take on the Victoria Salmon Kings. They'll do so without winger Jeff Smith, who was suspended three games by the ECHL after being penalized for a major spearing violation and physical abuse of game officials at the end of the Aces' 6-3 loss in Bakersfield on Saturday.
