NOAA sets hearings on restructuring Alaska fisheries

Juneau, AK — NOAA Fisheries invites interested members of the public to hearings on the proposal to restructure the funding and deployment system for observers in North Pacific groundfish and halibut fisheries. The goal is to implement the restructured program by January 2013.

NOAA will hold three public hearings to receive oral and written comments on the proposed changes in the program. There is no need to register for these hearings.

Latest survey of Anchorage gas prices

Anchorage, April 9 -- Average retail gasoline prices in Anchorage have fallen 0.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $4.27/g yesterday. This compares with the national average that has increased 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.91/g, according to gasoline price website AnchorageGasPrices.com.

Military to offer health and vet care in Bush in April
