Okay I admit it. It seems like I’ve spent more time at a library the past few weeks than in all the previous days of my life. Granted, I wasn’t actually perusing the aisles in search of great novels or books on landscaping. Isn’t that what Barnes and Noble and the Internet are for?
I, like so many others from Anchorage, and yes – even some who work, shop and play in our Municipality but happen to sleep in the Valley, have just completed round one of the public dialogue regarding gay rights and religious liberties. Two behemoths bumping awkwardly and noisily into each other since Ordinance 64 was introduced by Acting Mayor Claman and his friends with the ACLU.

Okay, you’re not going to get this unless you’ve seen “What About Bob?” and you remember the part where Bill Murray is tied to the front of the sailboat. In light of that -
I’m blogging. I can blog. I’m a blogger.
Felt compelled to get that out of the way as I have a strange sensation that as I venture into this world of blogging, a first for me, a sense of eventually being “tied” to it is quietly percolating in the back of my mind. Do I have to submit as many blogs as the other Alaska Voices bloggers? Do I really have time for this? Is there a blog for other bloggers who are feeling blogged down?
