7 April 16, 2008 - 10:14am | laniebenes
Ethan says Jake makes more than he does. I'd like to see where Ethan makes his money. Where are Ethan's tax returns? Jake published his. I'd like to see full disclosure from Ethan. Diane, too. Nary a word from them on how they make a living.

Please people, as bad as Senator Stevens and Congressman Young are lets not be rash and make a bad situation worse. Mayor Begich and Ethan Berkowitz going to Washington would be a nightmare for Alaska. I have no doubt that they would march in lock step with the rest of the liberals in Washington, doing what they are told by Diane Fienstien, Ted Kennedy and crew. No ANWR, no gasline, no mining, no hunting/ fishing, runaway gun control, massive restrictions on land use, etc. I'm not saying Young and Stevens don't need to be replaced, I'm just saying think real hard about who to replace them with. Ethan Berkowitz has never seen a tax or fee he didn't like and if Mark Begich does to the nation what he's done to Anchorage, Alaska is going to have some serious apologizing to do.

You think other Republicans (LaDoux??, Parnell??, Cuddy??) could pass ANWR in a Democratic or Republicvan majority? Young, Stevens and Murkowski at the height of their power, with both Senate and House Republican majorities, and a Republican president, couldn't accomplish one thing on ANWR. Not ONE thing! Think again--Begich and Berkowitz are the brightest and the best and we should be so lucky to have them in Congress representing Alaska. Remember, it was Berkowitz who pointed out to the other members of the state legislature that their corruption was wrong. So, lock yourself with the conservatives who have broken our country but please, don't be so negative about these two guys, they are the promise of a better tomorrow.

Who do you think Don Young is paying over a $1 million to? Would that be trial lawyers?
The last republican congress, working with their pal Abramoff, was as corrupt as a congress can be. Alaska Republicans are going to jail. The corrupt Randy Ruederich is still the republican party honcho up here. But what do the defenders of corruption say? They complain about trail lawyers and the far left. They complain about the press. They complain about anything except the corrupt politicians that they support.

You bloggers here: Get a clue!
Don Young has spent over one million dollars in legal fees from his campaign contributions war chest on alledged allegations of misconduct for funneling federal dollars to florida and other bridges to no where projects.

Great, Berkowitz, & Begich in bed with the far-left KOS, slip & sue trial lawyers, & dingy Sen. Harry Reid. Not the best fit for main stream Alaskans!

Metcalfe is full of it. Whenever I see him, he only whines and spews poison against others, be it democrats or republicans.
"He hasn't started his fundraising push" BS, this guy is toast.

I thought Cemocrats didn't need campaign contrbutionsj, because that is selling influnce to each cnotributer. At least that is what the press implies with each one who gives to the other side.

Ethan: Define 'Make'.
By 'make' do you mean that Jake works for his money while you simply 'have' money? How -do- you support yourself? And why is your home (and the home for your kid's nanny) owned by a trust fund?
