I had the pleasure of serving with Shane back at Ft. Hood. I didn't not get to deploy with him, but did work along side him for over a year.
I am proud to have served with you brother. You will be deeply missed by all who knew you. You have been a blessing to us all.
To your family,
I am so sorry for your loss of Shane. I don't believe we ever met while I served with Shane, but I know he was very proud of his family. May God bless you and watch over you.
Godspeed.
Love you brother,
Josh Mathis

You truly give those who have a lot hope when you have lost so much.

Affected by the fallen soldier
May God Bless Sgt. Shane's family. I was deeply affected by the photo of his small daughter waiting for her father's casket. I've now seen many photos as a result of this war, but none have so deeply cut to the core, or seemed so sad to me. My heartfelt thanks to this family for their enormous sacrifice to their country.

To the Family and Friends of SSgt Becker
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Our thanks to Shane's service to our country cannot begin to repay what he so selflessly gave to us. May God be with you through the days ahead. Know that we mourn with you and share your loss. Shane is a True American Hero.
When I read the paper and saw Shane's name, I was taken aback at first, as I too have a son named Shane, Shane Becker.

O my Hero... You made us immortal...
America's fighting men and women sacrifice much to ensure that our great nation stays free. We owe a debt of gratitude to the soldiers that have paid the ultimate price for this cause, as well as for those who are blessed enough to return from the battlefield unscathed. Toronto Swingers
