With 1Enemy3’s plans to continue gigging in California, tonight will be a rare chance to catch the band in Anchorage. It will definitely be your only opportunity to attend the release of this Anchorage-born band’s first full-length album, “The Warning.”
“This will be the one and only CD release party for this album,” drummer Eric Graham said in an e-mail.
The album was recorded by Sean Cobb at 12 Records in Eagle River and then mastered by Bernie Grundman in Hollywood.
“Grundman has a wall of platinum and gold albums in the entry way of his studio, from Micheal Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ to N.W.A’s first album,” Graham said. “He is one of the pioneers of mastering.”
The band has been touring in California since October 2006 in order to get live show experience, which members say will make them look more appealing to labels.
“Our sights are still on a major record contract,” Graham said. “We want to play arena shows on a full-blown rock tour.”
Catch 1Enemy3 at Club O tonight at 10 p.m. for $10. Dirty Little Monkey will open.
