Chance to weigh in on mining’s impacts in Bristol Bay area

The Environmental Protection Agency is holding a series of public meetings to provide information about and seek comment on a draft report assessing the impact of a large mine on the Bristol Bay watershed, including fisheries. The study comes as the Pebble Partnership is preparing to submit its plan for a large gold and copper mine in the area. Meetings started Thursday, May 31st in Seattle and move to Alaska with one on Monday in Anchorage.
