From Casey Grove in Anchorage --
Anchorage police are asking for help in the search for the thief or thieves who stole a large eagle carving and chain saw from a wood carver's pickup.
Jordan Anderson, a carver who lives near Bird Creek, had the artwork and a Stihl chain saw taken from back of his Chevy pickup while he was shopping at a South Anchorage Lowe's store, police said. The $2,000 carving has since been recovered by police and returned to Anderson. But the $500 chain saw remains missing, Anderson said.
Getting the carving back Wednesday was "incredible," Anderson said, reached by phone Thursday. He said police arrested one man connected to the theft on an outstanding warrant and are now seeking a second person.
Theft detectives want to know if you have any information about a pickup, seen in the parking lot and pictured here:

It's described as an emerald green, club-cab pickup, possibly a Chevy or GMC. The picture shows a hard, flat cover over the bed.
Anderson said the Stihl chain saw has a chrome bar and red lettering that says "Oregon sculptor" on it.
Police ask that anyone who knows the owner of this pickup call Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or go to anchoragecrimestoppers.com
